Every other year, EWNJ sponsors its "Salute to the Policy Makers Dinner". This event honors New Jersey women directors and officers of major corporations as well as women leaders of comparable achievement in the public sector.

The next Salute Dinner will take place on May 13, 2010. Please click here to download a fact sheet.  Click here to register.  Registrations must be received by May 6.  Dais attire is Black Tie and Audience Attire is Business Dress.

The event has given some of the State's most prominent organizations and their Chief Executive Officers an opportunity to recognize the achievements of women in their companies and on their boards. The dinner also raises funds for the EWNJ Graduate Scholarship program and other programs that advance women.

Top Company for Working Women in NJ To Be Named by EWNJ

The EWNJ Business Honor Roll Award recognizes companies in New Jersey in which employees trust the people they work for, take pride in their work, and appreciate the people they work with.  As an organization focused on senior level women, EWNJ developed its honor roll award in 1998 to recognize companies in the Garden State that have:

1. Made significant gains in the representation of women at the highest levels and ensured that they are actively involved in corporate governance;

2. Have successfully implemented policies that help all employees balance work and family responsibilities.

Past recipients of this award include Children's Specialized Hospital, Lucent, Johnson & Johnson, Schering-Plough, Prudential, Summit Bank, Hoffman-Laroche, and Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield of New Jersey.

The companies we honor have fostered initiatives such as mentoring and coaching as well as flexible scheduling. They have created climates that recognize and encourage diversity, including the hiring, promotion, and retention of talented women. Such practices have a positive impact on both men and women, and are proven to benefit business.
